Our office is located in Sanford, the Gateway City to South Florida. We draw our name, Proguard Restoration, from the history of our beloved city.
Florida was acquired by the United States from Spain in 1821, but the Seminole Wars would delay settlement. In 1835, the Seminoles burned the port of Palatka on the St. Johns River, at the time, the major artery into Central Florida from the East Coast. Consequently, an army garrison was established upstream, on the southern side of Lake Monroe near a trading post. This army garrison was named Camp Monroe. The garrison was attacked on February 8, 1837 and suffered one American casualty. It would be restored and renamed Fort Mellon in honor of Captain Charles Mellon, the sole American casualty of the attack.
The town of Mellonville was founded around Fort Mellon in 1842 by Daniel Stewart. In 1870, “General” Henry Shelton Sanford bought 12,500 acres to the west of Mellonville and laid out the community of Sanford. Believing it would become a transportation hub, he called it “The Gateway City to South Florida.” Incorporated in 1877 with a population of 100, Sanford was born. Sanford later absorbed Mellonville in 1883.

I didn’t expected it to be finish in one day. I was shocked and in awed how fast they can get it done. Steve go through step by step with the process with to help guide you with insurance and have it ready in a day. I honestly thought it will take weeks but it come quick as it can. Now I can come home and just look the roof. I can feel safe under my roof

Proguard communication, professionalism and responsiveness were outstanding. Unfortunately I was hospitalized the week my roof was to be replaced. The job went on in my absence, and Ryan sent me pictures and texts throughout the day showing their progress. As you can imagine this is a big $ fix to a home, but Proguard communication skills were phenomenal. I would definitely use this company again for future roof work…

I am extremely pleased with Proguard. My roof was damaged during a hailstorm and I worked with Steve who made the process as easy as possible. My insurance company did their best to make the approval and payment of my claim as difficult as possible, but Steve stayed on top of them throughout. My insurance company dragged the process on for 7 months but Steve was persistent and kept me updated. I would highly recommend Proguard to anyone in need of a new roof.
